Full Time Agency Triage Specialist

JOB CHARACTERISTICS: This position serves as the Triage Specialist for the Agency and will asses Participant’s eligibility for all Agency programs and services. Provides appropriate community and inter- Agency referrals for Participants to receive services or assistance.

  • Is energetic and takes a proactive approach to help Participants overcome obstacles working collectively with them on solutions that can improve a person’s quality of life.
  • Encourage and promote self-sufficiency through connecting Participants to internal and community resources designed to assist with budgeting and finances, employment services and other necessary support systems that will increase a person’s ability to be self-sufficient when possible.
  • Provide superior customer service and be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Provide administrative support to SEICAA’s Senior Management Team, requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness, individually and as part of a team.
  • Assist with special programs sponsored by SEICAA or its community partners


POSITION CONTACT: Operations Director


Knowledge: This position requires superior customer service skills, records management, broad computer software applications, multi-line phone systems, administrative/clerical and office procedures. Knowledge of SEICAA programs is preferred.

Skills: This position requires skills in organization, writing, communication, administration, record keeping, and assessing need, with experience in word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), data entry, and the operation of telephone and other general office machines. Individual must be able to perform other duties as assigned.

Abilities: This position requires the ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of the multitude of programs and services housed under SEICAA’s umbrella, be able to hear spoken words clearly, pay attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.  Must be able to prioritize work and manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively orally and in writing, follow verbal and written instructions, establish effective working relationships with fellow employees, supervisors, the public, government personnel, and maintain rapport with partners and participants. Individual must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation while not endangering self or others and other duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Hours may vary depending on funding availability.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and CONDITIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT: The above knowledge, skills, and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bilingual preferred but not required
  • Experience and ability working with low-income populations preferred

Conditions: The following abilities are mandatory for fulfillment of the job requirements:

  • Bondable, insurable under SEICAA’s insurance policy, and maintain a valid Idaho driver’s license
  • Willing to travel on Agency business at Agency reimbursement rates
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must successfully pass mandatory pre-employment drug and background screening
