 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

   The low income home energy assistance program is a federal program designed to assist with home heating costs. The program provides:

  • Once a year heating season payment on behalf of participant.
  • $1,182,085.00 was dispersed to Southeastern Idaho utility and bulk fuel companies from November 2004 through April 2005 on behalf of 4,304 economically disadvantaged households in southeastern Idaho.

This year's Energy Assistance program should start up November 1st, 2005 and run through March 31st, 2006.


Do you need help with your heating costs?

If your income is less than the following guidelines, you may qualify for energy assistance.

q Most current heating bill with name, address, and account number.

q Last 90 day income for everyone in the household.

q Social security cards for everyone in the household.
