SEICAA Launches SERC Energy Conservation Campaign

Category: General

The Sustainable Energy Resources for Consumers (SERC) is a one-year pilot program designed to achieve objectives determined by the U.S. Department of Energy. Interested participants must apply for participation in the pilot; an initial energy assessment will be completed by a trained and certified Auditor/Inspector. All materials and equipment provided during the pilot will be installed at no cost to eligible participants.

Enrollment requires households to commit to an ongoing comparison of energy use before and after the pilot. Project homes may be subject to a variety of follow-up activities to determine the cost-effectiveness of the SERC measures installed.  Typical measures that may be provided through the SERC grant may include high efficiency heating systems, high efficiency hot water systems, cool roof installations, and/or intensive client education.

If you are interested in participating in the SERC pilot program, please contact SEICAA’s   Weatherization Department at 208-237-0991.
