SEICAA's Mission

"SEICAA is dedicated to strengthening individuals and communities through service, education, and training while promoting human potential. "

What We Do

SouthEastern Idaho Community Action Agency (SEICAA) is one of nearly 1000 like organizations created during the "War on Poverty" by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. Organizations such as this one serve more than 96% of the country's cities and counties by providing a real safety net for America's low-income and acting as a chief link between the poor and other sectors of society

For more than three decades, SEICAA has provided the region with a variety of anti-poverty prgrams. Some have disappeared as federal funds were reduced; others have become seperate agencies. Today SEICAA continues to administer and develop programs responsive to the needs of elderly and low income people.
